Feeling 2014... Finally.

I have not been consistent.  Here.  Flickr.  And other things I've hoped to be consistent in during the start of the year.  And I do feel bad about it.  So much has been going on in my personal life, but I shall keep this blog a happy place for me.  I'm giving myself another chance in actually fulfilling my commitment to myself so here goes another attempt.  And now that I've actually had a break, I now feel that its definitely 2014, a new year, a new start (although technically, its just a new month, or a new quarter).

Thoughts on Technology

This morning I forgot my phone.  I left it charging.  While driving to work, I usually review in my head the things I have to do once I reach the office.  That is when I realized I have left my phone at home.  No doubt, the number one thing I have to do when reaching the office is call somebody.  I couldn't go back just yet as I had an applicant to interview.  Every time I am in a scenario like this (or when I end up lining at the bank for almost an hour), I feel bare and restless like how girls feel when they don't have earrings on or in my case a watch.

Its funny how people now are so dependent on their gadgets and devices, when we've had several years of existence without them.  There's obviously the older generations who are affected by all these and even aloof of what kids are capable of these days because of technology and there's my generation who at least has tried a bit of both.  When I say both, I mean the "days before technology" and today.  Its also our generation who sorta saw and experienced the rise of all the gaming consoles, the growth of the cellphone, music players from Walkman to iPods, and the introduction of "touch screen" things.

What I'm just saying here is that I do appreciate all these gadgets and I am very thankful being one who's fortunate enough to have them, but I do miss the simpler things.  Pen and paper.  Card and board games.  Letters.  Actually meeting each other to chat.
 

Birthday!!! :)

My birthday was last month.  I do love Novembers more because of it and because its when you start to truly feel the Christmas spirit.

My birthday was almost a month ago already, but I'm still quite happy about it.  The whole shebang was quite spontaneous and planned only a few days before, and mostly by Kiko and his friends, Roeder and Inno.  All I had to do was invite and bring the food and drinks.  

We found a transient house that we could rent so we wouldn't disturb anyone at home, which was the initial venue.  Those three guys (or the two guys actually) set up the place to fit the occasion.

The result, pink pompoms!  LOL.  I did find it fascinating that two guys would be capable of such.  The lights really made the whole thing fancy and festive.

The thing about birthdays is you get to see friends you don't see that often all in one place just for you.  

Missing Patchi, Grace, and Lily.

 There isn't a best way to spend a birthday, but I am happy of how I spent it this year.  There isn't any life-changing advice too that I can give despite being one year older.

One thing that will always be present during birthdays are wishes.  I do have one wish this year and for the coming year, which I'm hoping would come soon.  Its a secret I hope I could share soon. :)

Hi!

I have a Tumblr by the way which I actually had way before I had this blogger account.  Tumblr's great!  I believe its one of the first sites where you can "reblog" something and like something.  This site has informed me of what a hipster is and what yolo is and that sort of thing. LOL.  On my account, I usually reblog music I enjoy, quotes that I seem fit to my current situation, and blah rants and sometimes dramatic things.  LOL.

Current State of Mind

I'm not much of a writer (yet I have this blog).  All my thoughts are unfortunately locked up in my head and I find it quite difficult to express some thoughts that I do have especially when there are a lot.

• SONA 2012
• Sales quota
• Inconvenient weather
• The Perks of Being a Wallflower (current read)
• One Day (Yes, I've watched the movie but I wanna read the book)
• Clothes and other things I'd like to buy (They keep piling up.  Must have eye covers such as those that horses wear when walking around the mall, or even logging in Facebook.)
• And other things that can't be publicized.

What I lack in writing prowess, I hope I make up in photographs, although this is just made up of 2 photos. LOL.  Well, that's me on the phone.  Believe me, I have tons of pictures with me on the phone with different facial expressions.  I might even make a collage of all my on-the-phone photos.  This was taken by one of my friends (I don't even remember who) during dinner and I didn't know which post processed one to upload so I uploaded all.  LOL.

Yay, 2 posts in a row!  Let's hope for a third one tomorrow. =)
